Central University of Gujarat to shift to new campus in Vadodara soon

Vadodara: The Gandhinagar-based Central University of Gujarat (CUG) is working towards shifting to a new campus in Vadodara and commencing the new academic year from there.

Spanning over a large area of more than 100 acres, the new campus will be well-equipped with modern amenities and will have the capacity to accommodate 2,500 students, which is an increase from the current 1,400 students.

It is also noteworthy that the introduction of a postgraduate course in Hindu studies at CUG last year received a positive response.

According to Professor Rama Shanker Dubey, the Vice-Chancellor of CUG, the university has implemented multidisciplinary programs as minor electives, providing students with 16 diverse subject choices in short elective courses. Each of these programs is worth two credits. Students are selecting these multidisciplinary programs based on their individual interests. DeshGujarat
