MLA phone call viral video row in Morbi: 8 booked

Morbi: The police booked eight for beating up a person in the case of a viral audio clip of BJP MLA Kantilal Amrutiya.

An audio clip of conversation between a youth BJP member and BJP MLA Kantilal Amrutiya had gone viral on social media. They were having a conversation about two incidents of Morbi in the audio clip. In the audio clip, MLA Amrutiya said that there are no ‘Gunda’ in congress anymore, as they all have joined BJP. A complaint was filed by a youth named Pragneshbhai alias Ragho Gothi (age 32), who was talking to MLA Amrutiya in the clip. A complaint was filed at Morbi city A division police station.

After the clip went viral, BJP leader’s son Amitbhai Avadiya and other 7 to 8 persons allegedly rushed to Ravapar chokdi and told Pragnesh that their names should not be revealed in making the clip viral. They allegedly gave him threats. They reached there in a black Thar and a Verna car without number and 2 Activa two-wheelers. They allegedly beat him up with bats and iron pipes and gave death threats. The police booked 8 in this case. DeshGujarat
