Police complaint over relocation of street baby dogs in Surat

Surat: Althan police booked two for relocating and releasing 3 baby dogs at an isolated place.

Saloni Kapadiya (age 39, lives in Sai KG Flats in Althan) serves as admin in GD Goenka school. She and her husband Ruchit look after the stray dogs in the street. They used to feed 3 baby dogs with dog food. They gave dog food to them on 26th July. Later, they couldn’t find them in the evening when they searched for them to feed dog food. They inquired about the baby dogs to labourers working in the street.

They learnt that the owner of a shop in the street Gaurav Kasat told a worker in his shop named Shweta Patel to release the dogs in the car. She took the dogs in the car after being told by him. They found that Shweta released them at slums near Biodiversity park. However, Saloni Kapadiya and her husband could not find the dogs there despite searching. They couple filed a complaint at Althan police against Shweta and Gaurav. The police booked and nabbed them. DeshGujarat
