Remove Police for 15 Minutes video in Surendranagar; Police nab four

Surendranagar: The police have nabbed four persons for making a video that went viral on social media, in which they issued threats during Tajia Juloos on Muharram, stating: “Take away the police for 15 minutes, and then see,” accompanied by music and posters. The four accused are identified as Arif Jusabbhai Movar, Rehan Rahemtulla Mogal, Mahir Alusamabhai, and Akbar Alubhai Movar. While three accused are from Ratanpar area of Surendrangaar, one is from Patdi-Bajana.

The incident occurred during the largest procession of Tajia on Muharram in Surendranagar town, near Tanki chowk. Several members of the procession captured a video, showing individuals holding posters with ’15 minutes’ written on them. Allegedly, they threatened by saying, “Take the police away for fifteen minutes, and then see(what happens to others).” Subsequently, they shared the video on social media.

Upon spotting the viral video, the police initiated a search for the individuals seen in the clip. As a result, three of the suspects were nabbed from Ratanpar, and one from Patdibajana in Surendranagar.

The alleged threat about removing the police for 15 minutes is just a repetition of a similarly controversial and infamous speech that was made many years ago. In 2012, All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi had given a provocative speech in Hyderabad saying, “People are scaring Muslims. Modi hai… Modi hai… who Modi… Come to Hyderabad once, and we will tell you. No one knows where Taslima Nasreen is. Hindustan, we are 25 crores… you are 100 crores, aren’t you… so, you are so much more than us… remove the police for 15 minutes, and we will see who has more guts. What can one thousand do? Even if one lakh or one crore impotent people try together, they cannot create one. And these people cannot compete with us.
