ACB Gujarat nabs a cop in bribe case

Gandhinagar: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat has nabbed Detection Staff (D’staff) Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of Mansa Police Station, Mukeshsinh Vaghela in a bribe case involving the sum of Rs. 60,000.

According to ACB, the accused ASI had demanded Rs. 60,000 bribe for not to beat up an accused who has been booked for violation of prohibition act. The accused ASI had demanded bribe also to ensure release of same accused on bail.

As the complainant who is niece of the accused, was not willing to pay bribe, he contacted ACB, following which a trap was arranged and the accused was held after he accepted Rs. 60,000 bribe money. DeshGujarat
