Hindus in Navsari allege double-standards in demolition of illegal religious structures

Navsari: Local Hindu organizations alleged double-standards in demolishing illegal religious constructions in Navsari.

Navsari district Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal presented a memorandum addressed to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel to the Navsari district collector regarding the policy of demolishing the religious constructions of Hindus in Navsari.

The memorandum stated that the administration demolished a Mandir illegally constructed in the city, a few days ago in prompt action. However, the administration procrastinates the demolition of illegal structures belonging to the other religion.

The memorandum alleged that the Muslims from other states have migrated in a large number in the city. A Masjid is illegally constructed with a basement in Viraval area. The locals of Viraval and APMC market office bearers had made a written appeal to the district collector on 10th July but there is no action.

The Muslims have also made illegal constructions at Viraval Navsari entrance. The three kabars (graves) near Bagladev Mandir in Chikhli taluka in Navsari were causing obstruction in the development work. The Hindus showed preparedness in shifting their mandir but the Muslims did not agree in shifting the kabars for the development work. DeshGujarat
