Gujarat sees 35% surge in vehicle sales in July 2023

Gandhinagar: The state of Gujarat has experienced a 35% increase in vehicle sales for July, driven by strong demand for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, cars, and tractors.
The Federation of Automobile Dealers’ Association (FADA) attributed this growth to factors such as a favourable monsoon, the upcoming festive season, and the reopening of schools and colleges.
Hitendra A. Nanavati, FADA’s Gujarat chairman, remarked, “Gujarat has shown a remarkable growth of around 35% year-on-year in July, outpacing the nationwide growth of 10% during the same period. This rise is attributed to robust demand, positive sentiment, and the ongoing favorable monsoon.”
New product launches, particularly in the MUV and compact SUV segments, contributed to this growth by maintaining consumer enthusiasm. A positive monsoon boosted rural demand, and dealers have built up inventory in anticipation of the festive season. FADA’s projections anticipate continued growth in the passenger vehicle segment, driven by festive fervor and strong SUV demand, while concerns persist regarding declining interest in entry-level vehicles.
