Junagadh: Around five months after a police van driver from Junagadh Police Training College (PTC) died by suicide, Vanthali deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Khushbu Kapadia and PSI Pravin Khachar have been charged with abetting the suicide and assault.

The FIR against the accused cops was initiated after the deceased Brijesh Lavadiya’s (45) son approached the Gujarat High Court, alleging foul play. Kapadia and Khachar are accused of abetment of suicide, assault, criminal intimidation, and other IPC sections. The investigation is being handled by DySP Nilam Goswami from Porbandar.

As per the complaint lodged by Ritesh, Brijesh had reportedly reprimanded a female trainee for watching explicit content on her phone.
