Hindus in Gorat further protest against corrupt implementation of Disturbed Area Act

Surat: Gorat Hanuman Bhakt Mandal in Surat has strengthened the movement in protest of the poor implementation of the Disturbed Areas Act in the Gorat area.
Gorat Hanuman Bhakt Mandal and the locals of the area had made repeated appeals to the administration for proper implementation of the Disturbed Area Act in letter and spirit.
The locals allege that permissions are granted for property transfers under Disturbed Areas Act through bribes. The local Hindus also alleged that the touts including several brokers and middlemen in the deputy collector’s office are responsible for the same.
The permission was recently granted to a land developer group at Gorat Road under Disturbed Areas Act. Gorat Hanuman Bhakt Mandal has started a campaign on WhatsApp for boycotting the upcoming 2024 elections. DeshGujarat
