New amenities such as malls, theatres, & central park to come up in GIFT City

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat International Finance-Tec (GIFT) City here will have an entertainment zone, riverfront area, and township. He also emphasized the importance of creating social infrastructure within the city to accommodate young talent.

GIFT CEO Tapan Ray shared information that GIFT City and the state government are collaborating to create substantial social infrastructure within GIFT City. Proposals are invited for the development of an entertainment zone that will encompass shopping malls and theatres in GIFT City. Discussions are ongoing with entities in Dubai to evaluate the potential for such amenities. Additionally, a personal mobility system with pods for convenient transportation is in the works.

GIFT City currently hosts over 200 companies, including the India International Bullion Exchange (IIBX), international stock exchanges, IFSC banking units, and more.

The Gift MD also disclosed intentions to establish an internationally standardized central park within the township. Envisioning the completion of the GIFT Township, he projected its capacity to house between 500,000 and 1 million residents.
