Vadodara: The Indian Army rescued twelve individuals stranded on Vyas Bet near Shinor taluka’s Barkal village including a saint.

12 persons had been stranded amidst heavy rainfall and waterlogging on Vyas Bet since Saturday. Due to adverse weather conditions and fast-rising waters, the rescue operation could not be carried out on Sunday. The Air Force was called in for assistance, but they were unable to conduct the rescue due to adverse atmospheric conditions. Later, a Coast Guard helicopter arrived from Daman but couldn’t take off from Vadodara base due to bad weather. In the end, the Army was called for rescue. The Armymen conducted a reconnaissance mission last night to identify a suitable location to begin the rescue operation.
