Cow goes on rampage after dog bite, claims woman’s life in Bardoli

Surat: The menace of stray dogs has claimed another life in South Gujarat, but this time, it wasn’t a person bitten by the dog. Instead, a cow that was bitten by a rabid dog went berserk and attacked five people in Bardoli. One of the individuals attacked by the cow was a woman who succumbed to the injuries sustained in the cow’s attack.

The incident occurred in Bardoli town in Surat district when a cow lost control after being bitten by a rabid dog. After losing control, the cow attacked four men and one elderly woman on Thursday. All the injured were taken to Sardar Hospital in town, but due to the severity of her injuries, the woman was referred to Surat Civil Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and lost her life.

Later, the cow was impounded by an animal welfare group called ‘I am Human’ and taken to the cow shelter run by the organization. DeshGujarat
