Communal clash erupts in Dhuleta village in Anand

Anand: A communal clash erupted in Dhuleta village of Umreth taluka here, involving youth from the Hindu and Muslim communities on Sunday night.
According to the complaint filed with the police, Hindu youths from Rohitvas were sitting near the Ramdev Pir temple when they were verbally abused by youths from the Muslim community. This led to a confrontation, and the Hindu youths were physically assaulted. Later, the Hindu community approached the police. The Umreth police station has filed a complaint against nine individuals from the Muslim community under various sections of the IPC and also the atrocity act.
It is also alleged that minority community youths threatened the Hindu boys not to sit near the Ram temple. They purportedly told the Hindu boys that they should either leave the temple or they would force them to leave the village. The Hindu youths have also accused the Muslim side of stone pelting. Following this incident, women and youth from Rohitwas approached the Umreth Police station. The police have restored peace in the village through patrolling efforts and have initiated the process to apprehend the nine accused in the matter. DeshGujarat
