October 03, 2023
Mahesana: Jotana town on Tuesday remained shut over a Rs. 48 lakh loot case. A non-political bandh call was given by the local association of traders. The town remained completely shut protesting police inaction in a loot case. A memorandum was presented by locals to Additional Resident Collector Indrajitsinh Vala. As per Ranjitsinh Jadeja, Secretary of Jotana Vepari Association, the loot was done in broad daylight. This causes fear among the traders. An immediate arrest of looters is essential so that traders can do business peacefully. The association has a total of 340 members. In addition to them, the Agriculture Produce Market Committee (APMC) also joined the strike. DeshGujarat
