Local protests against temple demolition in Vastral of Ahmedabad
October 04, 2023
Ahmedabad: Local residents of the Vastral area protested today against the demolition drive being conducted by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
The incident occurred this morning when the AMC team reached Vastral to carry out the demolition of a temple structure on the road and a dairy on the road. However, an altercation occurred between the AMC employees and locals, as the latter alleged that the AMC team was only demolishing temples. The locals showed their protests and surrounded the AMC vehicle. Police arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control, which is now normal.
The locals have accused AMC of demolishing the temple but sparing other illegal religious structures. DeshGujarat
