This advisory came after the news came out that scammers attempted to deceive Gujarat BJP state secretary Shital Soni by sending a parcel in the name of CR Patil. A parcel from ‘Misho’ arrived at the home of Sheetal Soni, who holds the position of state secretary in the Gujarat BJP and resides in Navsari. The parcel claimed to be from the office of the State BJP President, CR Patil. Rs 1,500 sum was demanded for its release. Sheetal Soni, after discussing this with her family, realized that they hadn’t ordered anything.
State Minister Sheetal Soni had a doubt that parcels would not be sent from the state BJP office with a demand for money. Suspecting foul play, she called CR Patil’s office and confirmed that no such parcel had been dispatched from there. Equipped with this information, Sheetal Soni rejected the parcel. Although Sheetal Soni thwarted the fraud attempt, she warned others through social media. DeshGujarat
