Racket to dupe American citizens using Talkatone app busted in Kadi

Kadi: Police here nabbed nine youths who were running an illegal call center to cheat the American citizens and extort money from them.

A call centre was functioning on fifth floor of E block of Vraj apartment on Nani Kadi road. The accused were using Talktaone app to call the American citizens. Through this app, the U.S. citizens would find caller I.D. of Amerian phone number even when it was dialed from Kadi in India.

The main accused Kuldip Patel in initial questioning told police that he had employed the persons who would make fake documents of Landing Club’s loan approval letters and send them to American citizens through Email. Then would then dial their numbers using Talkatone app and use payday process, through which they would Ebay card and Wallmart card’s 13 and 16 digit number.
