Banaskantha: Ambaji police have today nabbed four individuals in relation to Mohini Caterers, the firm responsible for the Mohanthal Prasad at the Ambaji Mandir. These individuals were detained in connection with the FIR lodged by Sabar Dairy 25 days ago regarding the use of falsely labeled adulterated ghee in Prasad.
The individuals who detained are Sunil Ram Lakhan Panday, Alok Jhanjhariya, Lal Singh Pawar, and Kuldeep Chawda.
On August 28th, authorities confiscated 2,820 kg of adulterated ghee valued at Rs. 8 lakh, which was being used in Mohanthal Prasad. The samples tested from this ghee were found to be of substandard quality. Subsequently, the Ambaji police conducted an inspection at Neelkanth Traders in Ahmedabad and confiscated three cans of 15 kg ghee, along with the owner of Neelkanth Trader, Jatin Shah. This company had delivered approximately 300 cans of adulterated ghee to Mohini Caterers.
The ghee had been falsely labeled as a product of Amul Ghee from Sabar Dairy, which prompted Sabar Dairy to file a complaint with the police. DeshGujarat
