Electric buses flagged off in Rajkot not yet put on road even after over a month
October 10, 2023
Rajkot: Last month, 25 new electric buses were flagged off by Gujarat Chief Minister in Rajkot. However, in third-party inspection, the buses are proved faulty and therefore they are yet not put on the road for public use.
The buses are at present under repairs for technical issues, and trials are gone, as per the Municipal Commissioner Anand Patel.
If all goes well, the buses will be put on the road in the period of Navratri later this month, but that would be over a month after the flagging-off ceremony by the Chief Minister and other leaders.
With technical issues delaying the operations, the question arises whether these buses will have a smooth run after they are put on the road and for how long.
