With the addition of 700 MW of power in Gujarat, the overall solar power generation in the state will increase, resulting in more intensive daytime power supply to farmers in the state under Kisan Suryodaya Yojana. The project will be set up by SECI under the second phase of the “Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU)” scheme in Gujarat under the New and Renewable Energy Department of the Central Government. The project will play an important role in enhancing national energy security and facilitating environmental sustainability through the use of locally manufactured solar PV cells and modules.

The Power Usage Agreement was signed by General Manager (Renewable Energy) of GUVNL from the State Government and General Manager (Power Trading) of SECI from Solar Energy Corporation of India.
