AMC launches online road tax payment facility

Gandhinagar: Dealers of vehicles will be able to pay the road tax online in Ahmedabad. They will receive receipt also online.
With this facility in place, the dealers will be able to fast upload the proposal for getting registration number of new vehicles.
It’s worth noting that the task of vehicle registration has been assigned to dealers. Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has started this facility from Friday(yesterday).
Till now, the applicants had to visit the city civic centres for road tax. Instead of this physical task, now dealers will be able to pay road tax sitting in office, by using computer and their password. Depending on the value of purchased vehicle, road tax is effective in ratio of 2 to 5 percent. DeshGujarat
