Vejalpur MLA makes representation over slow progress of But Bhavani rail over bridge construction
October 29, 2023
Vejalpur: Local legislator Amit Thaker has made representation before the Municipal Commissioner for speeding up the ongoing construction work of Butbhavani railway fly over bridge in his constituency area.
Thaker said, ‘the construction of the bridge is progressing at a very slow pace which is not acceptable. The road has become narrower which causes an issue of traffic. I have made a representation that the contractor responsible for the construction of this bridge must be told to speed up the work.’
It’s worth noting that the contract to construct this bridge was awarded last year and the works started in September 2022. However even after a year, not even pillar foundation work has begun. The bridge has to be completed in 26 months as per contract. The estimated cost of this work is Rs. 66.76 crore. DeshGujarat
