November 04, 2023
Gandhinagar: The Gujarat government in an order today announced a holiday for its employees on Monday, November 13th, in view of the Diwali festival. Instead of November 13th, December 9th, the second Saturday, has been designated as a working day.
November 11th was a holiday due to the second Saturday, followed by the Diwali holiday on the 12th, Sunday. However, November 13th was the working day. And after that again, the 14th and 15th were also holidays due to Gujarati New Year and Bhai Beej, respectively.
In response to employees’ requests for a holiday on the 13th, allowing them to enjoy an extended break with their families during the Diwali festivities, the Gujarat government announced the holiday on November 13th. As a result, government employees will have a 5-day break from November 11th to November 15th. This decision applies to all government offices, including panchayats, municipalities, and municipal corporation boards under the Gujarat government. DeshGujarat
