IT searches at premises including one belonging to former CM’s granddaughter

Gandhinagar: The Income Tax department’s pre-Diwali searches at the premises of directors of Shukra Pharma have caught the attention of many as one of the directors of this company is a granddaughter of former Chief Minister Anandiben Patel who is presently the Governor of Uttar Pradesh.

Sanskruti Jayeshbhai Patel is the daughter of Jayeshbhai and Anarben Patel. Anarben Patel is the daughter of Anandiben Patel. Sanskruti Patel is one of the directors of Shukra Pharma. As the Income Tax department carried out searches at the premises of the company and its directors, Sanskruti Patel’s location was also reportedly searched.

Another director of Shukra Pharma is Payal Sujay Mehta, wife of Sujay Mehta who is presently on the School Board of Amdavad Municipal Corporation(AMC). Mehta is a former councilor of AMC.

Over 100 IT sleuths carried out searches at over 15 locations including the residence of the company’s Managing Director Dakshesh Shah.

According to a report, Shukra Pharma’s Financial year 2022-23 turnover was Rs. 46 crore, while only the first quarter of the Financial year 2023, it was Rs. 20 crore. It is also widely reported that the purchase of two ultra-luxury cars by Dakshesh Shah attracted the attention of the IT department.
