Ahmedabad: A 21-year-old man was arrested, and three others were detained for black marketing tickets for the high-voltage World Cup final match between India and Australia.

Police Constable Hitesh Jalaram received information about the man selling tickets near Baghban Party Plot. A police team apprehended Milan Mulchandani and found six tickets on him. Four tickets were priced at ₹6,000 each, and the other two were at ₹3,500 each. He was selling the ₹6,000 tickets for ₹35,000 each and the ₹3,500 tickets for ₹25,000 each.

The police mentioned that the tickets were being sold on various social media platforms and to fans attempting last-minute entry into Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday. Officially priced at ₹10,000, they were being sold for as high as ₹1.2 lakh to ₹1.5 lakh.

In another development, the Ahmedabad Crime Branch searched the premises of four college dropouts who were arrested on October 14 for printing fake tickets for the India vs Pakistan ODI in the World Cup.

The four accused arrested by the crime branch on October 14, namely Kush Meena of Maninagar, Rajveer Thakor of Zundal, Dhrumil Thakor of Ghatlodia, and Jaimin Prajapati of Motera, were released on bail. The police searched their houses to ensure they did not return to their fake ticketing business.
