Junagadh: Girnar mountain shall have an 11 KV new power line upto Ambaji mandir for which ground breaking puja was performed by saints. This new high-capacity line will replace the existing low-tension line.

The project, valued at Rs. 7.91 crore and undertaken by the Gujarat government-run power distribution company PGVCL, will involve installing six transformers aligned with the 5,000 steps. The task is expected to be completed by the next Shivratri Mela. Electricity was first supplied to Girnar mountain, the tallest mountain in Gujarat, during the 1972-75 period. DeshGujarat
