Former Gujarat Congress in-charge Raghu Sharma loses assembly poll in Rajasthan

Gandhinagar: Former Gujarat Congress in-charge and Rajasthan Cabinet Minister, Raghu Sharma, lost the assembly election in the Kekri constituency. The results of the Vidhan Sabha elections in four states were declared on Sunday, and with Congress losing in three states.
Raghu Sharma, who was a Cabinet Minister in Ashok Gehlot’s government in Rajasthan, lost from the Kerki assembly seat in the newly formed Kekri district. Sharma was defeated by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Shatrughan Gautam by 7542 votes.
It is noteworthy that the Congress party faced its biggest loss ever in Gujarat during the assembly elections held last year when Raghu Sharma was in charge of the Gujarat Congress.
Raghu Sharma, a two-time MLA from the Kekri constituency, has held four portfolios as the Cabinet Minister, namely the Medical & Health Department, Ayurved & Indian Medical Department, Medical & Health Services (ESI) Department, and Information & Public Relation Department. DeshGujarat
