‘Glow Garden’ to come up at Sabarmati Riverfront Flower Park

Sabarmati: A night garden will be coming up at Sabarmati Riverfront Flower Park in around 5 months. This unique attraction will feature illuminated structures, marking it as the city’s first luminous spectacle. Drawing inspiration from the night garden at Kevadia Colony near the Statue of Unity (SOU), this glowing display will add to the beauty of the Riverfront.

The structures within the night garden will incorporate built-in LED lighting, ensuring efficient energy consumption. Equipped with timers, these illuminated structures will intermittently emit a radiant glow.

According to sources in the Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Ltd. (SRFDCL), the structures will take on various forms, including animals, birds, cartoon characters, trees, plants, and flowers. Additionally, the night garden will feature a designated selfie point and a substantial gate adorned with illuminated benches, swings, and pathways. The initiative has progressed to the tender stage, with bids set to be opened on December 22. The tender explicitly seeks collaboration with government and semi-government institutions experienced in creating structures with integrated LED lights, as noted by the source.

The idea for this attraction at the flower park was introduced by AMC Chief M. Thennarasan. The estimated cost of this new attraction is over Rs 3.5 crore. DeshGujarat
