Mehsana: The Dharoi Dam area in North Gujarat is being developed as a world-class sustainable tourist pilgrimage destination. The state government has initiated various projects to develop Dharoi Dam as a tourism center, connecting famous places like Vadnagar, Taranga, Ambaji, and Ran Ki Vav within a radius of 90 km.

This development project for the Dharoi region will be executed in three phases at a total cost of Rs. 1100 crore. Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel recently visited the Dharoi Dam site to gather information about these projects and provide necessary guidance.

During the site visit, the Chief Minister received information about the functioning of Adventure Drive Road and Terminal Road, which are part of the proposed road network in the first phase of this project.

The entire tourism development area around Dharoi Dam will include an Adventure Water Sports Arena, various facilities and infrastructure, River Edge Development Leisure Show Infrastructure with Amphitheater, Panchatatva Park (Botanical Garden), Visitor Center, Water Experience Park, Earth Experience Park, Naad Brahm Upavan, Wind Experience Park, and attractions like Sun Experience Park, Sky Experience Park, Island Gateway, Jetty, and Open Green Park.

As a result of these projects, the Dam area is poised to become a major economic force in the North Gujarat region, serving as an attractive tourism circuit. Additionally, the development of spiritual tourism, adventure tourism, eco and recreational activities will contribute to regional tourism in the entire area. Beyond tourism, the movement of tourists is expected to boost economic activity at the local level, creating new employment opportunities.
