ACB Gujarat nabs Asst. Branch Post Master of Vitthalapur in bribe case

Ahmedabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Gujarat today nabbed an Assistant Branch Post Master from Vitthalapur village in Mandal taluka in a bribery case involving an amount of Rs. 3000.

In this case, the complainant, who frequently receives mails from his native place, had his original Aadhaar card arrive at Vitthalapur post office. For delivering this, the accused, Rajeshbhai Bhogilal Vyas, working as the Assistant Branch Post Master at Vitthalapur, demanded Rs. 3000.

Since the complainant was not willing to pay the bribe amount and contacted the ACB, a bribe trap was arranged. During the trap, the accused accepted the bribe amount and was caught red-handed. The accused is detained, and further proceedings are being taken. DeshGujarat
