7 high rise towers with over 30 stories to elevate western skyline of Ahmedabad
December 14, 2023
Ahmedabad: The western skyline of Ahmedabad is on the brink of a transformation as seven new upcoming buildings are set to reshape it. Higher than 100-meter with over 30 floors each, these structures will have residential and commercial spaces.
The formal agreements for these buildings will be finalized during the upcoming pre-Vibrant summit titled “Liveable Cities of Tomorrow,” commencing this Friday. Given the anticipated urban population surge in Gujarat, projected to exceed 60% by 2035 from the current 48%, the state is fully embracing sustainable city development. Emphasizing strategic planning, efficient waste management, and the expansion of green areas, Urban Development Secretary Ashwani Kumar underscores the state’s commitment.
The seven proposed high-rise buildings slated to be constructed under the jurisdiction of AMC, AUDA, and GMC are as follows: ATHITHI GOKUL, RIVIERA MAJESTICA, TROGON TWIN TOWER, MARUTI 360, BRILLIA, HARMONY HARIKESH, and THE SOVEREIGN. Out of these seven, five projects are under AMC jurisdiction, while Riviera Majestica falls under AUDA, and Trogon Twin Tower comes under GMC.
This summit extends beyond local concerns, drawing the participation of international experts and organizations such as NIUA, C40, CEDAI, AIILSG, ICLEI, CEPT, UNICEF India, the World Bank, Alluvium Group, and CityBlob, among others. It responds to the global trend of rapid urbanization, recognizing cities as hubs of culture, economy, and challenges like climate change and social inequities.
Cities currently host approximately half of the world’s population, with projections indicating that they will accommodate about two-thirds by 2050. Positioned as a meeting point for city administrators and innovators, the summit aims to ignite discussions on enhancing city livability and vibrancy. DeshGujarat
