Pack of 15 dogs attack 11-year-old boy in Surat on way to school

Surat: In yet another incident of stray dog menace in the city, an 11-year-old boy was attacked by over 10 dogs here today morning. The child sustained serious injuries all over his body from this brutal attack.

The incident occurred in the Umra gam area of the city when the boy was on his way to school. Around 10–15 dogs attacked him and started biting him. The boy suffered injuries on both legs, one hand, and all over the face and head. The boy was immediately taken to a private hospital, and after the primary treatment, the boy was shifted to the government-run New Civil Hospital on Majura Gate here.

The eyewitness who saved the boy told the media that his wife heard a crying voice. When he came out, he saw that over 10 dogs were attacking a boy. He took a stick and chased the dogs away, only to find that the dogs had bitten the entire head of the boy. He also stated that if there had been just a slight delay, the dogs would have killed the boy.

The locals claim that there are around 20–25 dogs in the lane because of the non-vegetarian carts. DeshGujarat
