Ahmedabad: All civic centers (Nagrik Suvidha Kendra) in the city will be operational until 7 pm in the evening, as decided by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.

People will now be able to avail the facilities such as property tax payment, professional tax submission, issuance of duplicate birth/death certificates, Gumastadhara Registration, and other services until 7 pm at the civic centers. Earlier, the civic centers used to close around 4:30, causing inconvenience to the people. After this complaint reached the AMC, the civic body issued an order to keep the offices functional until later hours. AMC has also mandated that notice boards indicating the extended working hours until 7 pm be displayed at these centers.

There are a total of 64 civic centers in the city, with 10 in the Central Zone, 10 in the East Zone, 6 in the North West Zone, 5 in the South West Zone, 10 in the North Zone, 9 in the South Zone, and 14 in the West Zone. DeshGujarat
