Gujarat Assembly Budget Session 2024 from February 1 to 29; FM’s budget speech on February 2

Gandhinagar: The fourth session of the 15th Gujarat Assembly is scheduled to be held from February 1 to 29. During this budget session, Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai will present the annual state budget in the assembly on February 2nd.

The spokesman, Minister Rushikesh Patel, informed the media that in this session, the full budget will be presented in the assembly and not just the vote on account. General discussions and deliberations on government bills and the budget will also take place in the Assembly House. As per the constitution, Governor Acharya Devvrat will address the Vidhan Sabha meeting on February 1, followed by a vote of thanks in the Assembly House on the governor’s address.

Patel mentioned that the budget for the years 2024–25 will be presented in the Assembly House on February 2nd. As this session is a budget session, there will be a general discussion on the budget and meetings for discussion and voting on demands. There will be 26 sittings of the house in this session for discussions on government bills and affairs. The first hour of each day during the assembly session will be allocated for questions.
