No compromise on quality, a little delay is okay: Gujarat CM to civic bodies
January 02, 2024
Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel instructed civic bodies today to carry out work in a planned manner without compromising on the quality of work. The CM was speaking during an event for the distribution of development grants to municipalities and municipal corporations at Mahatma Mandir in the state capital.
Addressing the civic body officials and office bearers, the CM stated, “No matter how good the projects you want to undertake are, you will receive funds for those projects, but they should be executed in a planned manner. We have heard complaints where one day a road is constructed, and the next day the sewer department starts working. We all have to hear this complaint, and it’s not just one person from that civic body who has to listen; the whole government has to go through it. It’s not like if one person makes mistakes, why does the entire administration have to listen? We all have to work together.”
He emphasized, “One thing you should always understand is that no compromise shall be made in quality. It doesn’t matter if a project is delayed by 2 days or 2 months. If no one filled the tender, all this is okay, but compromising on quality is not acceptable.” DeshGujarat
