Mob attack on cops in Surendranagar: Sub-Inspector gravely injured

Surendranagar: A sub-inspector sustained severe injuries in an assault by a mob armed with sharp weapons and sticks in Zinzuwada village today.

The incident occurred when Sub-Inspector KC Dangar and two constables were returning to Zinzuwada police station in a private car with Jalasinh Zala, an alleged bootlegger who had been on the run. Zala, a history-sheeter with a criminal record, was arrested earlier.

The mob attacked the police team, resulting in serious injuries to Sub-Inspector Dangar, who has been admitted to a private hospital in Ahmedabad. The constables sustained minor injuries. Zala escaped, and efforts are underway to apprehend him and those involved in the mob attack. Zala, a resident of Zinzuwada, was nabbed while playing cricket in a bootlegging case registered in Patan. DeshGujarat
