Junagadh: Locals in Jamnavad village of Dhoraji taluka observed a bandh against a “false police complaint” filed under the atrocity act, a controversial act brought by late then-minister Ramvilas Paswan.
The locals alleged that a 29-year-old woman from Schedule Caste(SC) community has filed a fake complaint under the Atrocity Act against Sukhabhai Nathabhai. The locals alleged that the incident was captured on mobile phone and there was nothing that could attract the actions under the Atrocity act. The villagers, mainly from the Ahir community presented a memorandum along with a video recording to the Prant Officer and conveyed that any actions under the false complaint would attract a strong reaction.
