President Murmu on Gujarat visit on February 12th

Morbi: President Droupadi Murmu will be visiting Gujarat on February 12th. She will be participating in an event organized by the Arya Samaj to commemorate the 200th birth anniversary of its founder, Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati, at his birthplace Tankara. Later, she will be in Surat to attend the convocation of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT).

President Murmu will be the chief guest at the event Tankara and will address a large gathering of Arya Samaj members who will converge from around the world for the celebration taking place from February 10 to 12.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to deliver a virtual address on February 11, and the inaugural event on February 10 will be attended by Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is expected to attend the event on February 11.

Later, on the same day President Murmu is also scheduled to preside over the 20th Convocation of Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) in Surat. The President will be the chief guest and will be present for about an hour around 5:30 pm. The convocation event will be held at the convention hall of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU).
