56,700 Gujarat BJP workers to leave home for party’s ‘Gaon Chalo Abhiyan’; CM to night-stay in Jalotra village

Gandhinagar: In preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be conducting a ‘Gaon Chalo Abhiyan.’ According to the party’s statement, this initiative aims to inform the people about the BJP’s vision for the welfare and upliftment of the poor, along with highlighting the development initiatives undertaken by the central government in the last 10 years.
In Gujarat, the “Gaon Chalo Abhiyan” is scheduled from February 10, 2024, to February 11, 2024, encompassing all the booths in the state. During this period, one worker (from a village or booth other than their native one) will spend 24 hours, including an overnight stay, in an assigned village or booth, acting as a ‘Visiting worker.’ A total of 56,700 workers, comprising 29,165 visiting workers and 27,535 convenors, will partake in the “Gaon Chalo Abhiyan” across 41 districts/urban areas. State party office bearers, State Ministers, MLAs, and Taluka/District office bearers will also actively participate in this campaign.
As part of this program, the Chief Minister of the state, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, is scheduled to visit the house of a worker in Jalotra village of Banaskantha district on the afternoon of February 10, 2024 (Saturday).
