In 2015, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’ aimed at providing affordable housing to poor and middle-income families living in urban and rural areas nationwide. Over the past nine years, this Yojana has fulfilled the homeownership dreams of lakhs of families, thereby enhancing their overall quality of life. The successful implementation of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’ in Gujarat has positioned the state as a frontrunner in comparison to others across the country.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has outlined the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’ during ‘Amrit Kaal,’ coinciding with the centenary celebration of the country’s independence in 2047. As part of this initiative, the Prime Minister has set a goal to ensure ‘Pucca’ housing for all citizens. Gujarat is committed to leading the way in building a ‘Viksit Gujarat’ as part of the Prime Minister’s vision for ‘Viksit Bharat.’ Under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, a roadmap for ‘Viksit Gujarat@2047’ has been developed. In Gujarat, the state government is actively working to fulfil the housing aspirations of its citizens, ensuring they attain their dream homes.
