Dhadhar bridge connecting Dabhoi to Vaghodiya to be demolished and reconstructed

Vadodara: An old bridge connecting Dabhoi to Vaghodiya over Dhadhar river will be demolished in order to make a high-level new bridge there.
The old bride is decades old and just 4.20 meter wide, which creates frequent traffic problems on this stretch. The bridge is 33 meters long. A new bridge as its replacement will be built for Rs. 6.18 crore. It will be 33.20 meters long and 12 meters wide. The bridge along with its approaches will be 160 meter long.
The construction work was assigned on 7 October last year and target of completion was 6 October 2024. The movement on this bridge has been shut till 31st December this year. DeshGujarat
