Surat: Surat BJP minority morcha general secretary Salim Bagadiya died of a punch by a suspended Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Ronak Hirani. Bhestan Police has booked Hirani for murder or Salimbhai(50) who was a scrap dealer. Salimbhai’s son was going to wed in the next 15 days. Hirani had posted an offending post against a lady who was Salimbhai’s relative. Salimbhai visited Hirani and asked him to remove the offending post. Hirani in anger punched Salimbhai on the latter’s stomach which made Salimbhai unconscious. Salimbhai was taken to hospital where he was declared dead, prima facie due to severe injuries to his kidney and liver. Suspended cop Ronak Hirani has a tainted past. About seven months ago he was held for transporting liquor illegally. He was serving Pandesara police station at that time. He was suspended from the police job.  DeshGujarat
