ACB Gujarat nabs Class-1 GST officer in bribery case

Junagadh: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat nabbed a Class 1 officer in the city today in a bribery case involving the sum of ₹12,000.

According to the details of the case, Vallabhbhai Bhikabhai Patelia (57), a Class 1 officer posted as Assistant Commissioner at the GST office in Junagadh, demanded a bribe of ₹12,000 to issue a Letter of Undertaking (LUT) certificate to the complainant. As the complainant was unwilling to pay the bribe, he contacted the ACB and filed a complaint.
