Gujarat Police nab one from Bharuch working for Pakistan’s ISI

Gandhinagar: Gujarat Police has nabbed one Pravinkumar Mishra from Bharuch over allegations of passing on secret information to Pakistan based spy agency Inter Service Intelligence(ISI). Mishra is suspected to be victim of honey trap. Police have recovered data from Mishra’s mobile phone and laptop. Prima facie he has been found involved in espionage and passing of secret information to Pakistan.

According to Police, Mishra was first contacted via Facebook through a friend request. An id of Sonal Garg was used for this. Mishra was then honeytrapped over Facebook chat and later over Whatsapp chats.

The Pakistani handler wanted the details of private manufacturers of various parts used to make Brahmos missiles. By sourcing such information, the handler in Pakistan wanted to know the number of Brahmos missiles India was trying to manufacture. The handler wanted the details of private units that are into making of important arms and ammunition for India’s armed forces. Information on Drone technology was also on radar of Pakistani handlers.

Pakistani handlers also had asked Mishra to upload a malware namely Z cloud in computers of private companies that are into making of defense items for Indian Armed forces. In fact, Mishra had tried to load such malware in computer of Ankleshwar based private company also. DeshGujarat
