Ahmedabad based CGST Commissioner buys 600 acre land near Mahabaleshwar, alleges an activist

Gandhinagar: A CGST principal commissioner hailing from Nandurbar in Maharashtra, Chandrakant Valvi, currently serving in Ahmedabad, has along with his family and relatives purchased land spanning an entire village Jhadani in Kandati Valley, Satara District in Maharashtra, near Mahabaleshwar estimated to be over 600 acres. An activist and social worker Sushant More has made this allegation and put the details before media.
More alleged that many important laws, like the Environment Protection Act of 1986, the Forest Conservation Act of 1976, and the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972, are being violated here, causing serious threat to environment. More has said that this alleged GST official told everyone in the village that their land would be acquired by the government. DeshGujarat
