Ahmedabad: The city police have arrested Farhan Sheikh and Faisal Chhipa for attack on a school principal who was clicking a photograph of Madresa in migrant Muslims populated Dariyapur area of city.

On Saturday, Bapunagar based school’s principal Sandip Patel was out for survey of Madresa in Dariyapur area on instruction of District Education Officer (DEO). As Madresa was locked, Patel clicked its photos from outside to prove the point before DEO that he had indeed visited the Madresa for survey but it was closed.

As soon as Patel clicked picture of Madresa, Farhan and Faisal entered into fight with Patel and also gathered a huge mob, mainly consisting of Muslim women. The mob thrashed Patel and snatched away his mobile phone. Patel later filed police complaint in Dariyapur police station, following which probe was initiated and two accused Farhan and Faisal were arrested. Both have past criminal record.

Police is in search of five more accused in this case. DeshGujarat
