Gujarat ATS finds video of 4 ISIS terrorists pledging allegiance to Pak handler

Gandhinagar: The Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has recovered a video from the mobile phone of four terrorists linked with the Islamic State. The ATS arrested these suspects on May 19th at Ahmedabad Airport. The video, recorded in Tamil, shows the four suspects—Mohammad Nusrat, Mohammad Nafran, Mohammad Rasdin, and Mohammad Fares—together. It features Abu, their mentor and ISIS handler based in Pakistan, seen brainwashing them.

Abu facilitated the meeting of these four terrorists, indoctrinated them, and provided various forms of training four months ago. They were instructed to come to Ahmedabad in the final phase of their mission. The video shows the ISIS flag and the suspects pledging allegiance to Abu. The extent of their brainwashing is under investigation. Their activities reportedly increased after the conflict between Hamas and Palestine, as they were told that India and America support Israel. Four days before their arrival in Ahmedabad, weapons were placed in Nana Chiloda. The ATS is examining CCTV footage from the area.

Out of the four, only two possessed mobile phones, both newly purchased. One phone had Proton Email, and the other had the Signal application. They were awaiting Abu’s orders through these applications. The investigation revealed that Abu sent them detailed photographs showing the exact location of the weapons, including landmarks and the specific spot under a stone.

The investigation has revealed that Mohammad Nusrat is involved in gold smuggling, Mohammad Faris in drug trafficking, and Mohammad Rasdin has five criminal cases in Sri Lanka. Their terrorist training commenced in February, and the final part of their training involved planning a suicide attack in India. The ATS has informed the suspects’ families about their arrest.

These suspects utilized Chennai Airport WiFi for communication. The Gujarat ATS has requested WiFi data from both Chennai and Ahmedabad airports. A team from Tamil Nadu ATS is also involved in the investigation, and police from other states have joined the case. DeshGujarat
