Gujarat to reel under heatwave until May 26th: IMD Forecast

Kutch: As severe heatwave conditions persisted in several districts of Gujarat on Thursday, Ahmedabad recorded the highest temperature in the state at 46.6 degrees Celsius. The state capital of Gandhinagar also witnessed scorching summer heat at 46.0 degrees Celsius.
The IMD, in its latest bulletin, said that the heatwave is likely to continue for the next three days across the state. As per the bulletin Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar are on red alert for the next 24 hours.
On May 24, Friday, the districts of Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Morbi, Surendranagar, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Amreli, Rajkot, Botad, Kutch, Anand, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mehsana, Patan, Surat, Valsad, Vadodara, Aravalli, Chhota Udepur, Panchmahal, and Kheda are expected to remain under heatwave conditions.
On May 25 and 26, heatwave conditions are very likely to prevail in isolated pockets in the districts of Morbi, Surendranagar, Bhavnagar, Junagadh, Amreli, Rajkot, Botad, Kutch, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Anand, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Mehsana, Patan, Surat, Valsad, Vadodara, Aravalli, Chhota Udepur, Panchmahal, and Kheda.
