Bhuj: Gujarat Police seized cocaine worth 130 crores from a deserted area near Gandhidham. The operation was conducted jointly by the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), East Kutch Special Operations Group (SOG), Local Crime Branch (LCB), and Gandhidham B Division Police in early hours of morning. The operation uncovered 13 unclaimed packets of cocaine hidden in bushes, each packet estimated to be worth 10 crores.
Acting on a tip-off about drug trafficking, Police conducted a joint undercover search operation in Kharirohar, located tens of kilometers from Gandhidham. The operation resulted in the recovery of 13 packets of cocaine from acacia bushes. The area was monitored by the ATS team using drone cameras. The police sought assistance from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) to confirm the purity of the drugs and verify their initial suspicion that it was cocaine.
Suspecting the presence of more drugs, the ATS team closely monitored the entire area using drone cameras. Last year, a similar incident occurred near Gandhidham, where 80 packets of cocaine worth 800 crores were found in the Mithirohar area.
The investigation is ongoing, with authorities yet to release official details. Search operations continued through the night to locate any further quantities and identify potential involvement in the drug trafficking operation. DeshGujarat
