IMD forecasts rain in several parts of Gujarat from June 15th to June 21st

Ahmedabad: The Indian Meteorological Department in its latest forecast has predicted rainfall in several parts of Gujarat for 7 days from June 15th to June 21st. During this period, light to moderate rain is expected in parts of Gujarat, with heavy rain likely on June 19th.

– On June 15th: Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds of 30-40 kmph (gusts) are expected, accompanied by light to moderate rain at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region, including Gandhinagar, Aravalli, Kheda, Ahmedabad, Anand, Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhotaudepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli. Similar conditions are expected in Saurashtra districts namely Surendranagar, Rajkot, Junagadh, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, and Botad.

– On June 16th: Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds of 30-40 kmph (gusts) are expected, accompanied by light to moderate rain at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region including Panchmahal, Dahod, Vadodara, Chhotaudepur, Narmada, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli. Similar conditions are expected in Saurashtra’s Gir Somnath district.

– On June 17th: Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds of 30-40 kmph (gusts) are expected, accompanied by light to moderate rain at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region including Bharuch, Surat, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli. Similar conditions are expected in Saurashtra’s Amreli and Bhavnagar districts.

– On June 18th: Light thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds of 30-40 kmph (gusts) are expected, accompanied by light to moderate rain at isolated places in the districts of Bharuch, Surat, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli. Similar conditions are expected in Saurashtra’s Junagadh, Gir Somnath, Amreli, and Bhavnagar districts.

– From June 19th to June 21st: Heavy rains are likely at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Valsad, and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.

– Additionally, light thunderstorms with lightning and surface winds of 30-40 kmph (gusts) are expected, accompanied by light to moderate rain at isolated places in the districts of South Gujarat region namely Vadodara, Chhotaudepur, Narmada, Bharuch, Surat, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Tapi, and in Daman, Dadra Nagar Haveli.
